Why your estimates are usually wrong
Most people fall victim to the Planning Fallacy. We imagine the best-case scenario where everything goes perfectly. In reality, unexpected emails, technical bugs, and coffee breaks add a "hidden tax" to your time.
AlphaEstimate uses a weighted buffer algorithm. For standard tasks, we apply a 1.5x multiplier. If you are in a chaotic environment, we double the estimate to ensure you actually meet your deadline.
Pro Tip: Always communicate the "Reality Check" result to your clients or boss—not your initial guess. It's better to finish early than to apologize for being late.
